5 SKILLS YOU SHOULD LEARN DURING THE LOCK DOWN

Because of the lockdown and the corona virus, I can say majority of people are stuck at home with free time to them selves.

Now you can choose to waste that free time or invest that time to do something productive and I think one of the most productive things you could do is actually to learning a skill set because when this is over, actually it will be over! its only a matter of time the wheel will start spinning again so what will you do?

You meant be a little bit concern maybe you have unfortunately lost your job and you think, when this is over you can go out there an get a new job

But let me tell you, by then, things have  changed, industry has  changed, company has changed so  are you ready? Are you prepared to go after that job you have always wanted or that your dream business?
What ever you are going to do after this crisis, what will allow you to do a lot of those things are your skills.

I believe during this lockdown, some of the most valuable skills that you should learn, should meet this criterias

1. The skill set that has an immediate impact your life, your career or your business

2. Something that you can learn within months or weeks basically doesn't take you years to learn.

3. Something you can learn from the comfort of your home without going to a particular place to learn it, that you can learn from your phone and computer

4. That you can Learn at your own pace. Whenever you want, where ever you want. This is important.

Now what are the five skills you should learn during this lockdown?

You don't really have to learn everything, you could pick just one and run with it, don't get confused.


1. Coding Skill

 Developers, Programmers, software engineers will always be in demand especially after the virus. If you were to be a business owner, what are you going to do differently for your business? Basically many company will go into online automation and others may  shortdown completely their physical business location and go online, creating websites, apps  softwares. Things have changed many company will restructure their business. So if you are interested or thinking about it, coding is extremely valuablidea.


2. Digital Marketing Skill

Digital marketing basically, has to do with online marketing. Its a way you interact and influence customers online. Digital marketing is a great option for any kind of business. You can use digital marketing to help all kinds of businesses grow locally and internationally. The beauty of advertising online, If you know who you want to target, you can use digital marketing to target anyone, anytime and anywhere.

Now, these are examples of digital marketing ; Social media marketing, email marketing, pay per-click even blogging.

They all help introduce people to your company and convince them to buy.

Reports shows that there is a speed  growing demand for digital marketing skills and every business that wants to succeed online must have digital marketing capability. The report shows that more than half of companies this year wants digital marketing expertise. This is a good idea.



3. Closing Skill

Closing is the ability to sell products and service over the phone and internet. This is a very valuable skill, with this crisis, companies are now looking to the entire sales division.

They ask questions like how can we sell our product? how can we outsource this? How can we have a remote sales team?
So if you have the ability to close product and services, companies are willing to pay you a huge commission when you can demonstrate that skill set.

Closing will be one of the most high demand profession in the world because companies need revenues, they need sales people and they need that more than ever especially when things are coming back to normal.


4. Copywriting Skill

Every single social media post that you see, every single email, every single Ads, every single landing page is copywriting.

Company that do any types of content marketing, companies that do any type of advertising, they need copywriters and they will always need copywriters because is not just one email, it's not just one article, its not just one product page, it's not just one blog post.

In other to stand out of this noisy market place, content marketing is extremely valuable almost every single company out there, if they do any kind of online marketing at all, will need a skillful copywriter .

The beauty with copy writing is that it has nothing to do with writing, it has to do with selling and closing that's while it's called closing in print. Copywriting is a learnable skill, transferable, durable and sustainable.


5. Speaking Skill

Talking about speaking, it has to the with the word, how you express your tonalities, your energy. In 2019 video was 80% of the internet, let's than 12month, studies shows that 95% of the internet will be video.

 If you are not speaking on video, expressing your business , getting your brand, your name out there on video, you will be left being , you will be black buster in the world of netflix...

Let's not let that happen.

So you really want to get good on this high income skill. Am working on speaking more and more every single day, I encourage all of my students and all my clients to be working on learning how to do speaking.

 I have a friend who made $700k in just 1hour speaking from the stage. So speaking  is a very lucrative skill if you can learn it and one beautiful thing about speaking is that speakers are made, they are not born.
